So Charlie Hunnam seems to have been missing from the limelight ever since Sons of Anarchy went off the air. He’s not going to be in the new Pacific Rim, He walked away from Dorian Grey, and he’s pretty much floating in limbo trying to find the next good fit. In comes Guy Ritchie and this King Arthur movie that seems like it’s Hunnam’s attempt to be somewhat familiar while trying something new.
Raised on the streets. Born to be king.

The trailer itself reminds me of most Guy Ritchie movies and it’s interesting to see his technique and approach applied to a medievel film but I have to admit that I’m skeptical about this shit. I can’t put my finger on it but maybe it’s the ‘biker’ vibes I’m getting from this or the fact that I don’t buy Hunnam as a King Arthur or living in a castle. I just don’t have a firm sense of the character he’s presenting and how that’s really all that different from what we’ve seen in the past from him.
Like any actor getting ready to don the cape (or in this case sword), Charlie Hunnam’s workout took the star from his average 75kgs(165lbs) to an impressive 88kgs(195lbs). All I can say is hes looking damn good!
On the plus side, this movie seems like a no-brainer date movie! Women love Hunnam and this seems like the kind of film that can walk the line of being approachable by women and manly enough for men. What’s your take on this movie? A dud with merit or a merit with duds?
