Tetsujin 28: The Touching Story of a Boy and His Robot

A while back Brad Bird created what has belatedly been recognized as a masterpiece of American animation in The Iron Giant. What a lot of people don’t realize is that The Iron Giant owes a lot of its major plot points to a little known – well, outside of Japan, anyway – anime show called Tetsujin 28. You guessed it, Tetsujin’s the story of a boy and his robot and it is now being made into a live action feature.
